My Personal Journey

My interest in and dedication to Chinese Medicine reflects a lifelong journey in the medical system. Growing up with a brother with autism is at the root of my desire to help anyone who is willing to explore natural medicine to address physical, emotional, and spiritual well being. After years of working with individuals with developmental disabilities, followed by years of study and practice as a massage therapist, I knew it was time to delve deeper into medicine. Chinese medicine, in my opinion, offers the most complete approach to well-being.

Traditionally, Chinese Medicine has always been passed down from master to student in real time clinical treatments. The preservation of medicine as an art form, and not mere memorization of textbooks, relies on master/student transmission. I moved to Tucson to continue my studies under Vince Black and the North American Tang Shou Tao Association, knowing that medical knowledge is not easily attained. I look at my pursuit as a lifelong study, and I am extremely grateful to the years of generous teaching Vince transmitted to his dedicated students.

In addition, I know the efficacy of this medicine as a first hand receiver. I believe that in order for a practitioner to provide high quality care, he or she must also receive regular treatments and be involved in physical cultivation. Chinese medicine provides me with the tools to maintain a healthy body, mind and spirit.  I hope to help you do the same.
